Forward Fridays - Dr. Monte Linebarger

This Friday segment is dedicated to everyday people doing everyday things in our community. By recognizing these extraordinary people, we are looking to highlight their gifts, talents, contributions, and services available as well as encourage you to support, uplift and patronize them when you can. And maybe, it will inspire some, light a fire in others, to begin, step up and/or continue your own journeys to serve your community.

First up is Dr. Monte Linebarger, Principal of Central Elementary School

Recognition via nomination

I'd like to nominate Dr. Monte Linebarger, Principal of Central Elementary School. Dr. Linebarger is not only a great role model for the students under his charge, he is an amazing leader and community activist. He is very hands-on and has implemented numerous programs to boost the morale of his staff, his students, his parents and the community. He encourages involvement and he not only talks the talk, he walks the walk. 

You will often find him moving around through the school, visiting classrooms, engaging with the students, interacting with the parents and staff as well as attending school functions for Central Elementary, other City Schools and in the community. 

He is committed and dedicated to the success of the students, staff, parents, and community and therefore I feel that Dr. Linebarger is moving Tuscaloosa forward.
